Comment: Uh, was I in high school? Yes, but not exactly...Post LAHS intellectual/academic bloomer. Got job and realized it sucks not to have college education. Traveled to Middle East and lived there seven months then returned home due to family emergency but quickly left for Europe to travel with Brit roommate (from Israel) for two months. Returned to U.S. Enrolled at and attended Foothill College for a year. Transfered to University of Maryland, College of Journalism. I am a proud Terp! Returned to SF after college and went to work in media, then advertising. Met and married Michael Patterson in 1990. Gave birth to beautiful Kayla in 1991. Michael died in 1994. Met Richard Gray in 1998 and married in 1999. Acquired two West Highland Terriers and one Yorkie-Norfolk mix--they make me laugh multiple times a day. Greatest achievement: Parenting. My daughter will be graduated from Woodside Priory School with honors in June. She will attend University of Oklahoma (School of Area and International Studies). GO SOONERS! Career stuff: I am passionate about software/services/applications in multiple contexts including the Internet, Mobile Web, cloud computing and white space technology. I believe Google's Android is most intriguing/exciting for Netbook. What I do... I combine a strong understanding of business strategy with a passion about innovative technology, while never forgetting the importance of how that technology is delivered to and actually used by people in the real world. Since we last saw each other... I have an over eighteen year track record of building relationships with key influencers of the markets for various product and services to lay the foundation for both short product/service awareness and also long term brand and reputation. I have developed marketing strategy for trailblazing companies including Junglee (NASDAQ: AMZN), and Neoforma (NASDAQ: NEOF and later acquired by GHX). Neoforma's public debut became the 16th highest first day gainer in the history of IPOs on the NASDAQ. She also consulted for such early stage companies as Google (NASDAQ: GOOG), Stratify (acquired by Iron Mountain, NYSE: IRM), Attainia and Cellfire. At Google, I worked with the founders in 1999 to stage the launch announcement of funding and PageRank.
